Furnace Filters and Allergies!

Lots of people I know suffer from allergies from air-spread things and asthma. Of course, that can be pretty uncomfortable sometimes. So, this is where furnace filters come in. Furnace filters clean up the air so that it is clear from all of the harmful stuff!!
Example:

Plant spores mixed with air -----> [FURNACE_FILTER] -----> Pure air

Filter Replacement

A while ago, a friend of mine was having some problems figuring out what to do with his filter, given that his needs a replace, a quick one. So, I thought about it a while and noticed that I never actually had to do that. So, I thought I might as well try to fix his own filter as my own experiment.

It actually tuned out to be a tad easy, good for us nubs I guess.

First if all, you go to your furnaces shop and by a new cover (, and yes I don't know its name) .
Then, you gotta get a screw driver (happened to be beside my computer).
Next, you gotta take out the old cover my unscrewing the screws :p.
Then, you put on the new cover and build it on the old frame.

This actually turned out to work pretty well, I hope it works for you.

Btw, you might also want to get a new frame too. If so, I suggest you get the carbon frames.

Interesting question. Simple answer.

"They're a life saver"

Furnace filters do exactly what the Ozone (03) should be doing. But, and because, we are always contibuting some how to "kill" the ozone layer, filters kick in. They purify and clean up the air for us.

You don't get pure-oxygen without it, pure-oxygen is a MUST, so, they do save our life.

Some other reasons would include;

They make the air from air conditioners feel a lot better with all that cold-pure air hitting on you face. WoW!
Its can be very good for you if you've got asthma and all that stuff.
It can be used to slice someone's head off(Joke) :p

Life without furnace filters , no life!

Hey!

Here I was messing around with my air conditioner's furance filters when it hit me, "How the hell would I live without one??".

One, I would be completely lost, not knowing where to go and where to not knowing that my asthma can get in the way as quick as umm it always does :p. That would be catastrophic since I'm really allergic to that stuff and it could kill me.

Two, I'd probably have to give up all my pets if I don't have a furnace air filter because of their fur and stuff. Especially the feathers on those birds, they're lethal!!

Three, Four and Five. :). I'm so exhausted, the page goes on and on, but I'm tired to go on and on :) .

What Filter is Your Filter?

There are lots of furnace filters out there. Picking one out could be pretty tricky(I myself use 3 :) )

First, you have to look for aby respiratory problems(like asthma or any allergy) in your family. If there are, you might want to give a Pleated "allergy" filter a try. It was created specially for these medical purposes. These are very cost effective and cost *usually* 15 bucks.

If not, a disposable/washable filter should be more than enough to keep your air cosy. Their costs usually range in between(20$ - 50$). Pretty cheap proce to make you live longer in my opinion.

A couple of days ago, I was given a rather unfortunate news pack by my doctor. I had asthma. Strange, since I was a pretty good athlete. Anyways, I was told to get myself a special furnace filter so that my asthma could have a chance of recovery.

I don't regret being asthmatic at all now! Why? Because without it, I wouldn't have been swarming in the very own furnace filter s life ;).
